The City of Thunder Bay is pleased to announce the film line-up for the Movie Nights in the Park Family Series, which will run Friday nights from Aug. 22 to Sept. 19, at Prince Arthur’s Landing.
The Family Series screening schedule will be as follows:
Friday, Aug. 22 – Back to the Future 3
Friday, Aug. 29 – Frozen
Friday, Sept. 5 – Antboy (Bay Street Film Festival)
Friday, Sept. 12 – Despicable Me 2
Friday, Sept. 19 –Maleficent
The line-up of films was chosen with the help of an online survey, which ran during the month of July and garnered 774 responses.
“We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for their favourite films and helped us select this year’s lineup,” said Event Supervisor Doug Henry. “It’s wonderful to see such tremendous support for this event.”
The Movie Nights in the Park Family Series will also include a short film by a local filmmaker before each feature film.
Admission is free. Movies will start at around 9 pm, after dark. A host of hot and cold food and beverages will be on hand to satisfy your appetite, or bring a picnic and make it an evening outdoors at Prince Arthur’s Landing. Please note that alcohol is not permitted at Movie Nights in the Park.
New this year is a weekly draw for the best seats in the house, presented by Thunder Bay Credit Unions.
