Pre-registered filmmaker finalists can pitch to an industry jury to win a $2000 cash prize and $5000 of in-kind services from Flash Frame Film and Video Network, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of film and video production in Northwestern Ontario.

To be eligible for the Hatch a Film Contest, filmmakers must be a resident of Thunder Bay and the surrounding region, age 18 and older and must attend the Hatch a Film Pitch Night. There is no entry fee. By August 29, applicants will be short-listed into a field of candidates who will pitch their projects at the Hatch A Film Contest Pitch Night on Friday, September 5, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at 314 Bay Street South. This event is free and open to the public. Guests can enjoy take part in the thrills as the seven top finalists get three minutes to pitch their ideas to the industry jury followed by a three minute Q & A.
