Canadian rock royalty The Trews are set to bring their incredible thirteen-year history to life with their twenty-date tour in support of their recently released album Time Capsule. The tour will stop in Thunder Bay on November 3 at Crocks.
Time Capsule is a nod to the illustrious career the band has had and allows them to take stock of all of their amazing accomplishments since the release of their debut album, while formally beginning a new chapter with drummer Gavin Maguire, who joined The Trews in 2015. The twenty-track collection includes the band’s biggest hits and fan favourites along with four brand new recordings including The Trews’ newest single “Beautiful and Tragic.”
The Trews have build a strong following in Thunder Bay and last played here during Fort Fest. They are known for getting the audience revved up with their searing guitar riffs, catchy chorus, and anthemic rock tunes. At any given stop in Thunder Bay fans have come to expect a high-energy and tight performance whether it’s their first show on the tour or their last, midweek or weekend.
The Trews are lead vocalist/guitarist Colin MacDonald, lead guitarist John-Angus MacDonald, bassist Jack Syperek, and drummer Gavin Maguire. They have earned sixteen Top 10 rock radio singles (including number one hits), two gold-certified albums (House of III Fame, Den of Thieves), and received their first Road Gold certification from CIMA for sales of 25,000 concert tickets in 2015. They’ve also won multiple East Coast Music Awards, an Independent Music Award (US) in 2009 for Best Rock/Metal Song, and numerous JUNO Award nominations. They’ve played over 1,000 shows worldwide, on their own as well as supporting the Rolling Stones, KISS, Robert Plant, Guns ‘n Roses, Kid Rock and Bruce Springsteen. That’s a lot to pack into a time capsule.
