Local boys, The Other Colour will be performing at Black Pirates Pub as part of their CD release and welcome home party. Stephen Gray (vocals), Taylor Perrault (guitar), Timo Pehkonen (guitar), AJ Astle (bass) and James Agostino (drums) have recently finished work on a self-titled EP and are ready to showcase the tracks to their hometown fans. The boys relocated to southern Ontario this past year but are back to show Thunder Bay they haven’t forgotten their roots. The Other Colour EP was co-produced by Kevin Belanger & The Other Colour at Acid Lake studios, and contains 5 tracks that demonstrate the band’s growth and progression as musicians. Formed in 2007, The Other Colour have produced a unique sound by blending sincere, emotional song writing with a driving rock/pop sound. The music borrows from a wide range of cultural and musical influences creating songs with relevance that appeal to a diverse audience. They have been invited to play alongside great Canadian acts like The Arkells, Marianas Trench, Faber Drive, Sweet Thing, Ill Scarlett and These Kids Wear Crowns. Joining The Other Colour in celebrating the release of their new work will be Thunder Bay’s own Import/Export, Don’t You Mean People and MacKenzie Heights. Doors for the show open at 730pm. Tickets are $7 and are available at the door. This event is open to all ages. The Other Colour EP will be available for sale for $5. Visit TBshows.com for more information.
