If you are interested in testing the waters as a playwright, check out the upcoming workshop with local published playwright, Eleanor Albanese on December 3. The workshop will kick off 10 By 10, a new and innovative theatre initiative by Rob MacLeod’s Capitol Players. 10 By 10 will feature the presentation of ten original, ten-minute plays by ten local playwrights. The vision of 10 By 10 is to link writers and their original work to the vibrant theatre community in Thunder Bay. In addition to featuring local playwrights, 10 By 10 will be using local actors, directors and tech crews. The final showcase is targeted for April, 2013.
The playwriting workshop will take place from 7-9:00 pm at the Baggage Building Arts Centre at Prince Arthur’s Landing. The cost for the workshop is $2 at the door and seating is limited to 75 people. The workshop is targeted at aspiring writers who are interested in submitting plays to 10 By 10, although attendance at the workshop is not a prerequisite to submitting to 10 By 10.
