Off With Her Head: BANKS

Since the early 2010s, BANKS has been making moody alternative pop hits to wide acclaim; now, she has released her fifth studio album, Off With Her Head, reuniting with longtime collaborators and producers Lil Silva and Sampha. At 12 tracks, Off With Her Head is electronic, emotional, raw, and sultry, detailing BANKS’s experiences with relationships both bitter and sweet. The album has various higher-tempo tracks, including the sexy electronica pop hits “I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend” (featuring 2025 Grammy winner Doechii) and “Make It Up” (featuring Sampha). BANKS also knows how to slow it down, with low-fi, vibey songs like “Love Is Unkind” and “Stay.” BANKS has said that Off With Her Head is all about being fearless and getting out of your head, and her collection of experimental, dreamy music is perfect for doing just that. Listen through on your next drive or pop it on in the background of a wine night to set the mood.
