First Draft Youth Troupe – Create a Musical is an independent youth-arts pilot for teens who want to make something completely new and original.

Over 10 evening sessions, a small group of teens (ages 13-19) will start with a blank page and experiment with theatre, music and design to create the first 30 minutes of a brand-new musical.

This is for teens who love performance, are focussed and dedicated, and excited to create something new. Previous theatre or musical experience is welcome, but not required.

We will end with a sharing of the script/music for invited family and friends. There is no commitment to future performances, but there may be optional opportunities to keep developing the work and see where it goes next.
