On November 9 & 10, the Thunder Bay Art Gallery will present its 13th annual Christmas House Tour. This event is one of the gallery’s major fundraisers; proceeds support the gallery’s exhibitions and education programs, including those for schools, children and adults that run throughout the year. Approximately $130,000 dollars has been raised over the course of the event.

This year there are five stops on the tour: the Art Gallery will be decorated by Over the Top Special Event Decorators; the Watchurst residence on Winnipeg Avenue will be decorated by Willow Springs Creative Centre; the Zulianello residence on Riverdale Road will be decorated by Heather Cranston (harrycanary.co) and Moss Cottage; the Gaudette home on Sequoia Drive will be decorated by the owner, decorator Linda Gaudette; and a two-bedroom model suite at Chartwell Select Thunder Bay on Arundel Street will be decorated by Celebrations by George’s.

The gallery reception Saturday evening includes access to exhibitions, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and live entertainment. House Tour patrons will once again enjoy the sounds of the Fort William Male Choir Sunday at the gallery as they prepare for their annual Prelude to Christmas concert.

Tickets are on sale at the Art Gallery and Celebrations by George’s and are $30 for the Candlelight Tour (limited number), and $20 for the House Tour – gallery members receive a $5 discount.
