The Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra (TBSO) is proud to present Live @ the Abbey as an important fundraiser and their social event of the year.
Last year’s Live @ the Shipyard was a phenomenal success. This year promises to be even better: imagine a huge gala house party on two floors. It all happens on Saturday, April 14,
when the TBSO takes the end-of-season celebration to the unique and newly renovated Urban Abbey on Red River Road.
Exceptional guest entertainment includes Carla and Carlo of Undercover, Greenbank, Clint Harris, and the red-hot Blanchet-Breton backup band joining Conductor Simon Rivard and the
full TBSO. With two stages there will be dancing upstairs on main stage, and an intimate jazzfolk club downstairs between main stage acts.
The event will also feature a spectacular silent auction displaying over 40 high-value choices including a wilderness trip, a vacation in PEI, flying time in professional-level flight simulators
and much more.
There will be food stations on both floors serving haute cuisine hors d’oeuvres designed by Daytona’s Creative Catering especially for the event, along with a cash bar serving cocktails,
wine and beer, as well as coffee and desserts available for sale in Urban Abbey’s Habit Café all night long.
Tickets are $125 per person, and available online at www.tbso.ca and at Fireweed Crafts on Algoma St.
This year’s Live @ event is sponsored by RBC and major contributors Chris Wilkinson, Lakehead Motors, Bruce Hyer–Wabakimi Outfitters, Bistro One, Urban Abbey, Confederation
College Aviation Centre of Excellence, and The Chronicle Journal.
