Canadian Folk Music Award nominees The Fugitives make their way to Thunder Bay this month, ahead of the release of their latest album, The Promise of Strangers, for a performance you won’t want to miss. Headed by songwriters Adrian Glynn and Brendan McLeod, the folk collective brings complex harmonies, incredible musicianship, and infectious storytelling to their unique brand of folk music, making for a live show that brings “enough energy to the stage to light up a small city,” according to The Georgia Straight. TBay, prepare to be electrified!
The Fugitives play the Port Arthur Polish Hall on January 20 as part of the Sleeping Giant Folk Music Society’s 2017-18 season, tickets are available at Chaltrek, Fireweed, and New Day Records. The show is one of our Top Five events for January—if you attend, tag us in a photo on social media or drop us a line at info@thewalleye.ca and we’ll enter your name in our monthly draw.
