Support the artist of the future and DefSup’s exciting multi-disciplinary convergence of artwork by Lakehead University graduate students, including new works by Jordan Allen, Mackenzie Tout, Kristen Wall, Brittany Ziegler, Brittany Kennedy, and Jen Lafrance. On Friday, May 10 from 7-10 pm, enjoy a gala opening reception at DefSup that will include performances by Fabulous Dave and a bevy of refreshments. All ages are welcome, admission is by donation. The RetroGraduate Show runs until June 1 in Galleries 1 and 2.
In Gallery 3, DefSup is featuring The Creator Project 2: Educational video screenings, interviews, and artworks of four major international multimedia artists, with juxtaposed methodologies that push the limits of art, culture and interaction. The Creator Project 2 features the work of U-Ram Choe – “Cyber Dreams-Kinetic Sculpture,” Sticky Monster Lab – “Animation/Toys,” United Visual Artists – “Origin” Massive Light Sculpture, and Yang Yongliang – “Chinese Art-Fantastical Multimedia.” The Creator Project 2 opens with the gala on Mary 10 and runs until June 1.
