From July 26 to August 24, Definitely Superior Art Gallery is presenting three multi-disciplinary contemporary art exhibitions featuring the work of Patrick Doyle, Alice Massara and JR.

Internal/External Reference is a collection of new paintings by regional artist Patrick Doyle. Simultaneously paleolithic yet modern, Doyle’s vivid paintings seem equally at home glimpsed by torchlight in a subterranean cave, or fluorescently illuminated inside a concrete and steel skyscraper (gallery 1).

Reflection on the Art of Alice Massaro is an intimate and wonderous look into the artwork of celebrated artist the late Alice Jean Massaro. Massaro was well-versed in printmaking and mixed media arts in her 40 years of art practice (gallery 2).

Women Are Heroes by JR is a Brazilian short film documentary (Ted Prize-2011). JR is an internationally-renowned photographer and urban “artivist,” who flyposts monumentally large black/white photographic images in public locations (gallery 3).

Gallery Hours are from Tuesday – Saturday, 12-6pm. All ages are welcome and admission is by donation.
