Don’t miss this special exhibition, featuring: Cliteracy – works and talk by internationally known New York artist, Sophia Wallace, as well as art by 16 regional feminist artists –including: Christian Chapman, Caitlyn McMillan, Leanna Marshall, Lora Northway, Vivike Knutson, Sharon Johnson, Leslie Hill, Katie Beda, Elizabeth Buset, Jayal Chung, Sarah Anne Eby, Shaun Hedican, Beth Haywood, Keith Catton, Katie Lemieux, Angela Gollat.

This evening will be an opportunity to bring together our diverse community through appreciating art as a medium for expression, reflection, and engaging dialogue. Let’s recognize and celebrate the ongoing work towards social justice and change within our community.

The Gala Opening Reception will be on Saturday, March 8th, from 7:00PM to 10:00PM at Definitely Superior Art Gallery; admission is by donation and everyone is welcome.

After the opening, the exhibition will be up for one week only, ending March 15th. Gallery hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Organized in partnership with the Gender Issues Centre of Lakehead University Student Union and DefSup’s Die Active Art Collective. This is an unconventional approach to celebrating International Women’s Day, which emerged from the activities of labour movements at the turn of the twentieth century in North America and across Europe.
