From October 24, 2014 until January 4, 2015, the Thunder Bay Art Gallery will be hosting the 2014 Northern Ontario Juried Exhibition.
According to Nadia Kurd, the gallery’s curator, this will be the first time a juried exhibition at the art gallery will specifically feature artists across Northern Ontario. “The Northern Ontario Juried Exhibition marks an important milestone in the gallery’s history,” she says.
The exhibition is promised to showcase innovative works from diverse, multidisciplinary artists from Northern Ontario, and will be programmed by a jury of respected art professionals: David Garneau, professor from the University of Regina, Carol Podedworny, director and chief curator of the McMaster Museum of Art and Andrea Terry, instructor at Lakehead University.
Visual artists residing in Northern Ontario are encouraged to submit pieces by Tuesday September 2, 2014 at 5 pm. For details on the submission process, visit theag.ca.
