Art

For the very first time, the collection of the Trapper’s Daughter prints by Rick Allen will be shown together. It is a 13-year retrospective exhibit featuring all 17 of her appearances, including her 2015 debut. This year’s print is entitled “The Trapper’s Daughter and the Unwritten Story”. The print will be unveiled the day of the artist reception on April 25, from 1:00 to 4:00. From a 2014 blog interview with Rick about the Trapper’s Daughter: “We do a new one every Spring, making hers a story without words, or a story looking for words.” The exhibit will be on display from April 25 to May 31.

Siiviis and its sister store, Sivertson Gallery in Grand Marais, is a destination for art on the North Shore of Lake Superior, exhibiting the work of over 50 regional artists along with Canadian Inuit and Alaskan native artists.
