The African and Caribbean Students Association at Lakehead University, in collaboration with the Caribbean African Multicultural Association of Canada, are proud to present the Black History Month Dinner and Awards Gala on Saturday, March 2 at the Italian Cultural Centre.
This event has been going on for several years but, for the first time, there is an awards component to recognize key contributors and supporters in our community. The event will include cultural presentations delivered through poetry, dance, fashion, and music. Equally as important is the food highlighting the flavours found throughout Africa and the Caribbean. Stay until the end of the night and strap on your dancing shoes, this is an evening that you do not want to miss!
Tickets are $40 for general admission and $30 for students, and are available at the LUSU Office (SC-0001) at Lakehead University or by contacting Uko Abara at uabara@lakeheadu.ca.
The Italian Cultural Centre is located at 132 South Algoma Street; doors open at 5 pm.
