Less than a week’s time stands between music lovers and this summer’s first Live on the Waterfront concert. As of today, there is even more to look forward to with the release of the festival line up. Without further ado, this year’s lineup is as follows:

  • July 19: Katherine Nemec, Luke Warm & the Cold Ones, Terra Lightfoot
  • July 26: Sisters of Turtle Island Drummers, Nadjiwan, Begonia
  • August 2: Mark Potvin & Mike Carson, Cartwrights, G.R. Gritt
  • August 9: Sisters of Turtle Island Drummers, Tin Pan Alley, Harm & Ease
  • August 16: Jessica Hayes, Chris Talarico, Zack Zoya
  • August 23: Mood Indigo, Sara Kae, Lockyer Boys

This year’s Live on the Waterfront concert series boasts an array of talented performers, including Juno Award winners and nominees, Prism Award winners, and exceptional local talent. “We can’t wait for the stage to come alive this summer with amazing local and Canadian talent,” Louisa Costanzo, the City of Thunder Bay’s Supervisor of Cultural Development, Community Programming and Events, was quoted as saying in a media release.

To amp things up this year, the festival will include a summer send-off with two back-to-back nights: Wednesday, August 30 and Thursday, August 31. For the summer send-off, concert goers can expect to see:

  • August 30: Connor Loughlin, Jason Maxwell, Honest Heart Collective
  • August 31: Orville Councillor, Stardrop, Shawnee Kish

The evening of August 31 will wrap up with a fireworks show to celebrate another year of music, community, and fun at the waterfront. “The two-day summer send-off will be a fantastic way to end the season,” Costanzo says. So mark your calendars because this concert series is not to be missed. The festival will take place every Wednesday from July 19 to August 23 from 6 to 9 pm at the festival area in Marina Park.
