Craft Cares is back, but this time with an official spokes-beer. The “Craft Bear that Cares” is the new face of the Sleeping Giant Brewing Company movement that gives back to local charities year after year. The bear is featured on the annual Craft Cares Rosé Ale that has a newly designed can. For every Craft Cares beer sold at the brewery and online, funds will be donated to the Craft Cares initiative.
“The craft bear cares, and so do we. Sleeping Giant Brewing Company has always made giving back to our communities an integral part of the business and we are putting our money where our hearts are,” says Drea Mulligan, CEO & co-founder of Sleeping Giant Brewing Company. “The new spokes-beer featuring the Craft Bear that Cares will help share stories of the great work of all the charitable organizations in the community that Craft Cares supports. Craft Cares provides a platform to communicate the impact of our partners and help amplify their message and needs.”
Through the Craft Cares initiative, the Sleeping Giant Brewing Company team is helping its licensees make a positive impact in the community with the charities and organizations that they care about, giving back one beer at a time. From January 1st until February 28, for every Sleeping Giant Brewing Company product sold at participating locations, $0.50 will be donated back to the community.
“Sleeping Giant Brewing Company wants to make a lasting impact in the community where we do business while celebrating our awesome licensees. As a part of Craft Cares, each participating licensee has the opportunity to select a local charity of their choice where the funding will be directed. They are then encouraged to share details with customers about their selection,” explains Maureen Mills, sales manager at Sleeping Giant Brewing Company. “Sleeping Giant Brewing Company has the best and most generous customers. They love to support the brewery, especially when they know that their money is being paid forward in the community. Raise a glass and cheers to the impact our Craft Cares partners make!”
To date, 39 licensee locations are participating in the 2022 Craft Cares campaign, including a location in Dryden. Craft Cares was created by Sleeping Giant Brewing Company in 2018. To date, Craft Cares has donated an impressive $36,470 to 40 charities and organizations.
The Craft Cares Rosé Ale is an innovative beer inspired by the classic rosé wine. With a touch of raspberry, a hint of dried hibiscus flowers, and subtle sweetness, this deep pink beer is perfect for wine and beer fans alike.
The Craft Cares movement encourages people to support charities and organizations by adding any Sleeping Giant Brewing Company beer to takeout orders from participating locations. “At Sleeping Giant Brewing Company we are always actively brainstorming ways to rally behind all of the amazing local restaurants and bars that need our support right now. We encourage the community to get takeout and show them some love,” says Mills.
