The new series of Movie Nights in the Park starts this Friday, May 17, at Prince Arthur’s Landing and runs for three consecutive Fridays. The lineup of classic movies was selected based on input received through Facebook and the result is three classic movies you won’t want to miss. Thunder Bay Credit Unions proudly present the movie lineup that starts on Friday, May 17, with E.T. This is followed by The Breakfast Club on Friday, May 24, and JAWS on May 31 (swimming in Lake Superior will never be the same!).
Movies will start after sunset, once it is dark (in May, this is after 9:30pm, so bring your woolies!). A variety of hot and cold food and beverages will be available, or bring a picnic and make it an evening outdoors at Prince Arthur’s Landing. Before the show, visit the Baggage Building Arts Centre between 6:30- 8:30 pm to grab a bite to eat while enjoying local entertainment at their coffee house.
Audiences at Movie Nights in the Park this year will have the added pleasure of viewing a short film by a local filmmaker before each feature movie, so come early to get the best seat, purchase your movie snacks, and catch some excellent local talent.
