Dust off the wooden skis, pull out the old spandex, and hike up your socks at the 2017 Sleeping Giant Loppet and you could win with The Walleye’s Flashback Award for retro clothing.
We’ll be watching for any combination of the following:
- wool, leather, and canvas
- nylon jackets, spandex suits, and vintage eyewear
- wooden skis, three-pin bindings, and bamboo poles
- knickers, knee-highs, toques, and gloves
We are also proud to sponsor the The “Woody Make It” Award which will be presented to the first person to finish the 50 km event on wooden skis!
In addition to bragging rights and five (or more!) minutes of fame, winners of the Flashback and Woody Make It Awards will receive prizes from The Walleye, Rollin’ Thunder, and Wilderness Supply.
