RECYCLER & Fisherman
Just got a copy of your April issue. It’s great as usual and I have to speak on the Journey of a Pop Can. Koodos to Ms. Schochinski’s article on Journey of a Pop Can especially the part she did on the Pop Cans for Charity group. For Years I see them doing their work and giving all the monies they make to the city charities, hospital etc. They deserve the write up. I strongly ask all fishermen and campers NOT TO BUY Plastic bottles of any type of drink. Buy cans and save them and give them to these people to use. [ they have a website in case no one knows and I check it out form time to time.. take a look folks it’s http://www.popcans.org ] and tells you so much about what a group of retired older men do. Give them help they sure need it so one of them told me a few months ago. Plastic doesn’t deteriorate – 97 years scientists tell us – stop the drinking bottles already. Get a good filter for your tap and a reusable water bottle but don’t buy PLASTIC drinking bottles please. Be a good sportsman and teach your family. Lets all get behind them and help these guys out also and give them all your pop and even beer cans. They take liquor bottles also. Happy FISHING everyone and please recycle.
Thanks Pop Cans for Charity – Larry
Just think the April Issue I read at the Java Hut the other day was very good again. Let Rebekah know the article about Pop Cans was good … and especially her mentioning the Pop Cans for Charity people. Do more on those people also. I don’t do my cans on the curbside recycling I give them to these people and I also strongly suggest people report theft to the police as I and a few of us do from the pop can bins around town and also make people aware of the scrap these people get put in those bins. I feel sorry for them and they do such good quite work. Keep up the good work .. hope this summer brings us a good fishing season.. ROB (Lkh’d U)
p.s. on their website they ask the public for help .. respond and help them folks.
