Wiggins Pro-Ductions will be hosting Dance For A Cure: A Cancer Benefit for the Zachary Family on Saturday, November 9 at The Foundry.
Janna Zachary is a local artisan and the owner of Artsy Owl Studios, located in the Centre for Change. After living with misdiagnosed ankle pain for roughly seven years, Janna and her family turned to The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for help. After a few days, the doctors at the Mayo Clinic diagnosed her ankle pain as lymphoma, a very rare presentation of this kind of cancer.
While the Zachary family is very happy to have a proper diagnosis, they are now faced with a large medical bill from the United States; 100% of the proceeds from this benefit concert will help cover these expenses. Janna is currently undergoing chemotherapy to treat the lymphoma and is very excited to be walking again with minimal pain in her ankle.
Dance for a Cure will feature some of the city’s hottest DJs, including Jaqi Iraqi, Miss Temperance and Palehock. Doors open at 10 pm, cover is $5 and age of majority required.
