Meet Métis artist and medical student, Jamie Thompson (@birchandbeads), whose online auction raised $3,335 in support of Asabiinyashkosiwagong Nitam-Anishinaabeg (Grassy Narrows First Nation). We love how she carefully recreates the tiny ventricles, valves, and arteries of an anatomically correct heart with tiny glass beads.

@bettycarpick hopes her art will get people to think about the importance of protecting our waterways and what we all can do to ensure continued access to clean, safe water.
