Details:  The “Festival of the River” highlights the history and potential of Thunder Bay’s Waterfront while drawing visitors to Kaministiqua River Heritage Park and the City’s downtown South Core.  Tours of various ships will be available, including the James Whalen Tug, Canadian Coast Guard, Glenada Tug, RCMP vessel and Sail Superior Charters. On-site attractions include children’s activities like face painting and crafts, food concessions, and the 5th annual Reel In Fishing Derby for anyone ages 13 and under (sponsored by the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, MNR and the Thunder Bay Public Library). There will also be an Artisans Market and community groups set up throughout the park.

The Kam River Boardwalk will also play host to a variety of local live musical talent from 12 – 4 pm, including:

· Michael Abraham & Sean Mundy

· The Knackers, and

· Brother John
