In celebration of Black History Month, Maestro Fresh Wes releases “Timeless”—a song and video dedicated to the lasting memory of powerful and inspirational Black leaders, such as Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King.

Produced by The Rezza Brothers, the single also pays homage to musical icons who have paved the way, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, James Brown and Bob Marley. Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson, who was recently inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame, is also honoured.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is the difference we have made in the lives of others, that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

This Mandela quote is what inspired Maestro to write “Timeless.” Filmed by WILLXMOVEMENT, the video features cameo appearances by Dan-e-o, Eklipz, Born King, Mark Stoddart, and violinist Andrew Forde. R&B soul vocalist, Divine Brown, is the perfect voice for this dynamic song. “Timeless” is the latest single from Maestro’s 2013 album, Orchestrated Noise.
