Oh, 2022, nothing makes us appreciate where we live more than when we’re tallying up the results of The Walleye’s Best of Thunder Bay survey. So before we look ahead into the great blue yonder of another year, we ask you to join us in recognizing the countless people working behind and in front of the scenes to make our community so great. It’s because of you that there is such a vibrant arts and culture scene for us to showcase. Congratulations to all of the 2021 nominees and winners! This issue marks 10 years that we’ve been presenting the results of our annual Best Of Thunder Bay survey. The way the survey works is that starting in October, we put together various questions and let our readers determine the nominees, and then in November we kick off voting for the favourites. In our cover story this month we profile some of the winners who you may or may not be familiar with. This year we featured a number of new categories as a testament to the ever-growing arts and culture scene here in the city.
