Highway to Hell is the sixth studio album by Aussie hard rock band AC/DC and was the last to feature lead singer Bon Scott, who died in 1980 from acute alcohol poisoning. Highway to Hell is by far my favourite in the AC/DC catalogue, and is a great driving album—especially for summer. The years have not aged this material one bit—the guitar licks and lyrics are still as fresh, raw, and gut-punching as the first time I listened to it. It is an essential album for every vinyl collection and if you are like me you probably own it in at least four formats. AC/DC’s classic album turned 35 in July; I’m still on the highway to hell 35 years later and loving every minute of it!
