From November 7-10, Wiggins Pro-Ductions will be hosting Wigginstock 2012—a four-night showcase of local music. The festival will take place at Black Pirates Pub and feature 17 acts, and over 50 local musicians and DJs performing a variety of styles of music, from rock, pop, and hip hop to folk, jazz, and electronica. Partial proceeds from the event will be donated to Prostate Cancer Canada as part of prostate cancer awareness month, a.k.a. “Movember.” Movember is responsible for the sprouting moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s,” these men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives.
“I’ve always had such great support from the community that I felt I needed to give something back” said promoter Jimmy Wiggins, “this festival is a great way to raise funds and awareness of prostate
cancer while showcasing some of my favorite bands and DJs to the city I love.” Wiggins Pro-Ductions has also teamed up with marketing company, 10.Cal and will be selling Movember
merchandise at each show—proceeds from merchandise sales will also be donated to Prostate Cancer Canada.
