Wise in Mind: DBT Emotion Regulation Workshop

An event every week that begins at 9:00am on Saturday, repeating until May 19, 2018
The Wise In Mind DBT Skills Training Group is focused on enhancing clients’ capabilities by teaching them behavioural skills. The group is run like a class where the group leader teaches the skills & assigns homework for clients to practice using the skills in their everyday lives.
This 10-week workshop will teach you how to manage negative & overwhelming emotions while increasing positive experiences by:
- Understanding one’s emotions
- Reducing emotional vulnerability
- Decreasing emotional suffering
Negative feelings are not bad, or must be avoided. They are a normal part of life, but there are ways to acknowledge and then let go of these feelings so that you are not controlled by them.
