On Saturday, September 14, 2019, we will be holding our annual Walk in Thunder Bay at St. Ignatius High School/Boulevard Lake. Our name and look has changed this year from Walk for ALS to Walk to End ALS. The Walk will still be the vibrant community-based event you know from past years – but with a new identity that better captures our determination, and drive to create a future without amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
This event is a fun, family-friendly way to celebrate hope for a future without ALS, honour those we have loved and lost, and show support for people and families living with the disease. Fundraising efforts and generous donations support the best ALS research in the country and enable the ALS Society of Canada to provide community-based support to people and families living with ALS.
Last year we were thrilled to see an estimated 225 people attend from in and around the community, and they collectively raised an impressive $41,000
