Join us on May 29th, 2022 for a 3km or 6km Remembrance Hike around scenic Boulevard Lake to raise awareness and funds for Hospice Palliative Care in our community. Help support palliative care in our community by registering for our annual Hike for Hospice. Funds raised during the Hike are used to train volunteers and develop new programs such as HUUG, a new children’s grief program.
Hike for Hospice is Hospice Northwest’s only major fundraising event of the year. Together, we have raised over $500,000 for palliative care in our community since 2012! We’ll have 50 local vendors, including food trucks, kid’s area with clowns, a bagpiper, Sounds of Superior choir, and more to celebrate Hike for Hospice.
For those who have cash donations to drop off, or who didn’t register online, there will be a last chance registration from 11-11:30am. Opening ceremonies will happen at 11:30am. After the opening ceremony, a bagpiper will lead the hikers to the Boulevard Lake Park trails, where you will have the opportunity to walk around the lake, stopping to drop a flower in the still waters as a special sign of remembrance.
Stop at the Adelaide Monarch Butterfly Garden and tie a colourful ribbon to the Butterfly Remembrance Walls.
Driving Miss Daisy will be available to shuttle people to and from the Butterfly Garden, if needed.
