BAROQUE BRILLIANCE – VIRTUOSO VIOLINIST JEREMY BELL
Consortium Aurora Borealis presents its annual all-Baroque concert with an Italian theme. Back by popular demand, virtuoso violinist Jeremy Bell performs “Baroque Brilliance,” an exciting programme of dazzling concerti and sonatas by Vivaldi, Tartini, Locatelli, Leclair, and Legrenzi, who were themselves virtuoso violinists. He is joined by Consortium’s expanded string ensemble and harpsichord. Bell, violinist with the distinguished Penderecki String Quartet, makes his 11th guest appearance in Thunder Bay. “Breathtaking skill and focus.” Jeremy Bell, solo violin and leader; Katie Stevens, concertmaster
