On Friday, February 1, join Wiggins Pro-Ductions for the Divas & Legends Drag Cover Show at Black Pirates Pub. The night will feature eight of the city’s top drag performers as they pay tribute to some of the biggest names in rock and pop music.
Created as a spin-off of the popular Cover Show events put on by promoter Jimmy Wiggins, Divas & Legends is the LGBTQ community’s take on tribute nights. This year’s lineup includes King Ivan Love, Queen Portia, Paloma Marquez, Fantasia LaPremiere, Will Ramya, Faux Rocious, Busta Hymen and Moe B. Dick performing drag cover sets by Justin Bieber, Aretha Franklyn, Jennifer Lopez, Reba McEntire, Bon Jovi, Janet Jackson and Nine Inch Nails. Following the drag show will be a dance party, featuring LU Radio’s Queer-Radio show host, DJ Fabulous Dave. And, in the spirit of the popular LGBTQ reality TV show, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Divas & Legends will be having a “Lip Sync for Your Life” contest, where audience members will get their chance to battle it
out on stage by doing their very own lip-sync performance. Prizes from Creation Body Piercing and Lush Cosmetics will be awarded to the best lip-syncers.
